Step 1: Complete Your Profile
Before generating your first custom resume, you need to add your professional information to your Migrate Mate profile. This information will be the foundation for all the resumes you generate.
Access Your Profile
In the left sidebar, look for your name at the bottom
Click on your name to access your profile
Click the purple "Edit" button at the top
Add Your Work Experience
In the edit panel that appears on the right, you'll find several sections. Complete the information in each one:
Experience: Add your complete work history, including job titles, company names, start and end dates, and detailed descriptions of your responsibilities and achievements.
Education: Include your academic degrees, institutions, graduation dates, and fields of study.
Skills: List your relevant technical and professional skills.
Desired Role: Indicate the type of position you're looking for (e.g., "Project Manager").
Upload Resume: You can upload your current resume in PDF format so our system can automatically extract your information.
Important: Make sure to provide detailed and accurate information. The more complete your profile is, the better the generated resume will be. Include numbers, metrics, and specific achievements whenever possible.
Step 2: Find a Job That Interests You
Once your profile is complete, it's time to search for job opportunities.
Go to "All Jobs" in the left sidebar
Use the filters and search bar to find jobs that match your interests and qualifications
Click on any job card to view the full details of the position
Carefully review the job description, requirements, and responsibilities
Step 3: Generate Your Custom Resume
When you find a job you want to apply for, our Custom Resume Generator is ready to help you.
Start the Generation
On the job details page, scroll down to find the "Apply Now" button
Just below it, you'll see the "Generate Custom Resume" button with a magic wand icon
Click on "Generate Custom Resume"
Review and Confirm Your Information
After clicking, a window will open showing:
The specific job you're generating the resume for
Your current profile information, including your work experience, education, and skills
Recommended skills relevant to the position that you can add
A link to edit your profile if you need to update any information
Review carefully: This is the perfect moment to ensure all your information is accurate and up to date. If you notice something missing or needs correction, click "Edit Profile" before continuing.
Review the displayed information
If everything is correct, click the purple "Generate Custom Resume" button at the bottom
Wait 10-20 seconds while our system creates your customized resume
Step 4: Download Your Resume
Once the generation is complete, you'll see a preview of your customized resume.
Download as DOCX: Click the "DOCX" button to download an editable Microsoft Word version that you can modify if needed
Download as PDF: Click the "PDF" button to download a ready-to-send version that maintains professional formatting
Recommendation: Download both formats. Use the PDF to send your application and save the DOCX in case you need to make minor adjustments later.
Additional Options After Generating
Regenerate Button
If you're not satisfied with the generated resume, click "Regenerate" to create a new version.
Edit Button
After generating your resume, click "Edit" to make additional refinements to the draft. Please note that any edits made at this stage apply only to the current resume version and will not update your profile information.
Access Previous Drafts
If you generate a resume for a job and don't download it, you can go back to that job and view the draft you previously generated by clicking "View Custom Resume."

Generate a unique resume for each application: Don't use the same resume for all jobs. Take advantage of our tool to create a customized one for each opportunity.
Troubleshooting
The "Generate Custom Resume" button doesn't appear
Make sure you have completed at least your basic work experience information in your profile. The generator needs this information to function.
The generated resume seems incomplete
This usually means information is missing from your profile. Go to "Edit Profile" and complete all sections with as much detail as possible.
The system takes a long time to generate the resume
Generation normally takes 10-30 seconds. If more than a minute has passed, try refreshing the page and trying again
